Fast, Stress-Free Access to Medications After Your Visit

One of the biggest frustrations after a medical visit is having to drive across town, wait in line, or deal with prescription delays at a pharmacy—especially when you’re not feeling your best. At FirstCare Urgent Care Center in Oak Lawn, IL, we remove that extra step by offering on-site medication dispensing for many commonly prescribed treatments. It’s fast, private, and designed to help you start feeling better right away.

As part of our mission to make healthcare more accessible and patient-friendly, our clinic stocks a wide range of medications directly in-house. Whether you’re visiting us for an illness, injury, physical exam, or chronic condition, we can provide many of the prescriptions you need immediately following your visit. There’s no need to stop at a pharmacy or wait for a prescription to be filled.

Our on-site dispensing includes medications commonly used for:

  • Infections (antibiotics for strep, sinus infections, UTIs, etc.)

  • Pain relief (non-narcotic medications)

  • Asthma or breathing issues (inhalers or short-term treatments)

  • Digestive symptoms (anti-nausea, antacids, etc.)

  • Allergies and colds

  • Skin conditions (topical creams or ointments)

  • Travel-related needs (malaria prevention, traveler’s diarrhea treatment)

Because FirstCare is a physician-owned and operated urgent care, we are licensed and equipped to both prescribe and dispense medications directly at the time of your visit. Our approach improves compliance, eliminates barriers, and ensures you leave with everything you need to begin treatment the same day.

We serve patients throughout Oak Lawn, Burbank, Evergreen Park, Hometown, Bedford Park, and surrounding Illinois communities. Our clinic welcomes walk-ins, offers same-day appointments, and is built to support working families, busy professionals, and individuals who want fast, no-hassle care.

For uninsured patients or those with high-deductible plans, our affordable cash-pay pricing makes this service even more convenient. You won’t face hidden fees or inflated pharmacy charges—just one clear, upfront cost.

Please note: We do not dispense narcotics or controlled substances on site. If your condition requires medication outside of our formulary, we’ll electronically send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice and answer any questions before you leave.

At FirstCare Urgent Care Center, we believe healthcare should be efficient, compassionate, and complete. Our on-site medication dispensing is just one of the ways we go beyond expectations to give you the care you need—when and where you need it most.
